RE: Letter of Commitment for EPA Brownfield Assessment Coalition Grant Application
Dear Marnie:

This letter confirms the membership of the City of Orange in the Coalition led by the Orange County Council of Governments ("OCCOG"). We appreciate this opportunity to continue our collaboration with the OCCOG by formally joining your Coalition to secure EPA Brownfield Assessment Grant funding.

It is our understanding this Grant will help fill funding gaps for critical economic development projects in our community by funding assessment, cleanup planning and reuse planning activities to help redevelopment move forward. Many of the vacant and underutilized sites in our community are well positioned for adaptive reuse projects but the lack of funding for initial assessment activities is deterring investors. We believe this program will help resolve this issue by allowing us to quantify environmental issues and position sites for near-term redevelopment opportunities.

We appreciate the opportunity to partner with the OCCOG and hope we are successful in securing EPA Grant funds. If you need further information, please contact our staff at [email protected] or [email protected] Sincerely,
the The
