1. SUBJECT
Appointment to the Park Planning and Community Events Commission and Investment Advisory Committee.
2. SUMMARY
Due to the expired term of Erika de Vries, a scheduled vacancy exists on the Park Planning and Community Events Commission. A Notice of Vacancy was posted in accordance with Government Code Section 54974.
The Investment Advisory Committee was reinstated in April 2024. Pursuant to Resolution No. 11536, the reinstated Committee shall consist of seven voting members with a term of two years. Four members were appointed in March 2025 leaving three remaining vacancies.
3. RECOMMENDED ACTION
Confirm Mayor Slater’s recommendation to appoint Brandy Romero to the Park Planning and Community Events Commission for a four-year term ending on June 30, 2029; and Adam Carr to the Investment Advisory Committee for a two-year term ending on June 30, 2027.
