The fee provides for residential development projects to finance the cost of park facilities and improvements required by new residential development. The relationship between the fee and the purpose for which it is charged is described in the April 2000 City of Orange Quimby Ordinance Background Report, with amendments, which is incorporated herein by reference. The City's 5-year Capital Improvement Plan adopted in June 2023 identifies all sources and amounts of funding anticipated to complete financing of incomplete improvements and designates approximate dates on which the funding is expected to be deposited into the fund.
