RESOLUTION NO. 11686
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE DECLARING CERTAIN STREETS
WITHIN THE CITY OF ORANGE TO BE COUNTY OF
ORANGE HIGHWAYS DURING CONSTRUCTION OF
INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS AT WEST
METROPOLITAN DRIVE AND THE CITY DRIVE
SOUTH.
WHEREAS, the local streets depicted in Exhibit A, are located in the City of Orange; and
WHEREAS, the County of Orange has approved an agreement for the development of a Workforce Reentry Center on County of Orange -owned property near the intersection of West Metropolitan Drive and The City Drive South; and
WHEREAS, the County of Orange development agreement includes minor off -site improvements to The City Drive South and West Metropolitan Drive to improve vehicular access to the Workforce Reentry Center, including traffic signal modifications, restriping, and median modifications; and
WHEREAS, the County of Orange and City of Orange have approved a Cooperative Agreement which details the roles and responsibilities of both the County of Orange and City of Orange; and
WHEREAS, the County of Orange Board of Supervisors approved Resolution No. 26-024 on April 28, 2026 designating City of Orange streets as County of Orange highway to allow for the construction of the off-site improvements.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Orange as follows:
SECTION I:
Pursuant to Section 1700, Article 3, Chapter 9, Division 2 of the Streets and Highways Code, the streets located within the City of Orange, and further detailed in Exhibit A of this Resolution shall be County of Orange highways during the construction of a ll necessary off-site improvements, and shall remain designated as County of Orange highways ten (10) days after the filing of a Notice of Completion with the City Clerk.
SECTION II:
The proposed project is consistent with the objectives, policies, general land uses, and programs specified by the City of Orange General Plan.

The City Clerk is hereby directed to transmit a certified copy of this Resolution to the Clerk of the Orange County Board of Supervisors.
