Appointment to the Community Development Block Grant Program Committee
2. SUMMARY
Due to the resignation of Connie Benson, an unscheduled vacancy exists on the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program Committee. In accordance with Government Code Section 54974, a Notice of Vacancy was posted on July 16, 2026.
Mayor Slater has recommended the appointment of James Kushon, who currently serves on the Park Planning & Community Events Commission, to fill the vacancy on the CDBG Program Committee.
Mr. Kushon’sappointment to the CDBG Program Committee would result in a vacancy on the Park Planning & Community Events Commission.
3. RECOMMENDED ACTION
Confirm Mayor Slater’srecommendation to appoint James Kushon to the CDBG Program Committee to fill an unexpired term ending on June 30, 2027.
