Notice of Completion and Acceptance of Reservoir 5 Exterior Cathodic Protection System Installation Project
2. SUMMARY
The City of Orange entered into a contract with Farwest Corrosion Control Company for Reservoir 5 Exterior Cathodic Protection System Installation Project (Bid No. 25-26.06). The scope of work consisted of installation of a new exterior Cathodic Protection (CP) system rectifier, drilling and installation of six new anode beds comprised of silicone cast iron anodes with accompanying anode junction boxes and three test stations around the reservoir perimeter, pavement trenching and restoration for new electrical conduits, wires, and reconnection to the existing power panel and meter.
The project was completed in September 2026 to the satisfaction of the Public Works Department.
The approved project budget was $201,491.88 including a 10% contingency. The final construction cost is $183,174.44. The project was completed under budget because the 10% contingency was not used.
3. RECOMMENDED ACTION
1. Accept the Reservoir 5 Exterior Cathodic Protection System Installation Project, Bid No. 25-
26.06, as complete.
2. Authorize the City Clerk to file the Notice of Completion with the Orange County ClerkRecorder’s Office.
