Public comment is generally limited to 3 minutes per speaker per agenda item. For additional information, please refer to the Council’s Policies and Procedures Manual.
In-Person Comments: In-person speakers are invited to submit a speaker card to the City Clerk. You will be permitted to speak even if you choose not to submit a speaker card or decline to provide the requested information on the card. After the City Council has heard from everyone who submitted a speaker card, anyone present in person who has not submitted a speaker card may form a line at the lectern.
Remote Comments: Speakers who are participating via Zoom should use the “raise hand” function or the *9 function to indicate they wish to comment. You will be called upon and unmuted when it is your time to speak, which will generally be after the City Council hears from in-person speakers. Persons wishing to comment should use the Zoom link to participate in the meeting, not the YouTube link. The YouTube link is a livestream provided as a courtesy and does not allow for public comment.
Written Comments: In advance of the meeting, you may submit written public comment for the Council to read by following the instructions below:
Deliver to City Hall at 22 Orinda Way or send an e-mail to [email protected] by 3 pm on the day of the meeting. Those comments will be forwarded to the City Council. They will also be part of the public record and available for viewing in the public review binder at Orinda City Hall, located at 22 Orinda Way.
In addition, they will be available electronically by 5 pm on the City’s Website Meetings Calendar, by selecting the date of the meeting, and “Communications from Public”.
Assisted Listening Devices: Assisted listening devices are available on the table in the rear of the Auditorium.
