[email protected] I’m voicing a big concern about the lack of major grocery stores in South Oxnard, because Ralph’s and Fresh n Easy both closed recently. There is no major grocery firm in a 7 to 10 mile area. Are there any plans to correct this problem?

I was in traffic on Channel Islands & J st waiting for the light to turn green. It was red for a while and I began to see cars run the solid red light. I was in traffic, at least 5 cars were ahead of me. After all these people unlawfully passed the solid red light, I was at the front of the line waiting for the light to turn green and I refused to cross the solid red traffic light until it turned green and it did.
I felt very fearful for the safety of others there. I saw pedestrians waiting to cross and they could not cross because of the driver's unlawful actions. I called the police to report it after.
There needs to be a camera immediately installed on Channel Islands & J st to prevent this unlawful behavior.
Please help Oxnard become safer.
