My name is Ilana Stice and my husband Brad and I are residents of Riverpark/CFD 5. For the last several months, we have been involved in our neighborhood’s budget process. Since we can’t make it to Tuesday’s City Council meeting to support, we are writing (together) to ask the council to approve the budget as presented (as I understand Agenda item M3). This is specifically in regards to the CFD 5 budget.

I unable to attend the City Council meeting on 6/17/2025 but would like to request the City Council approve the CFD 5 budget as presented.
I have been a resident of Riverpark/CFD5 since 2011 and have participated in many Neighboorhood Council discussions over the years regarding our taxes.
Riverpark residents have been active participants in the recent budget process. I support the residents that have been working hand-in-hand with the negotiations.
I encourage the City Council members to support our Riverpark residents and continue to work with us regarding our CFD 5 concerns.

Special thanks to Anthony Miller, of Special Districts. He has provided information in an easy to understand format, and he knows the in's and out's of our CFD and budget. I am grateful that he has taken the time to work with us. This is much better than past years that the City has been managing the budget.

I am writing you as a resident of Riverpark, the Treasurer of the Riverpark Neighborhood Council, and a member of the Riverpark CFD Subcommittee, specifically regarding agenda item M3 on Tuesday’s agenda.
As a resident I was grateful for the opportunity to work closely with Anthony Miller from the Special Districts Division on the proposed 2025/2026 CFD 5 budget. It was refreshing to be included in the discussion and to have a voice in how our funds are allocated. Anthony made the process smooth and collaborative, and he demonstrated that residents do, in fact, have meaningful input in these decisions.
The Riverpark CFD Subcommittee also had the pleasure of working with other members of City staff to fine- tune specific budget items. Everyone we encountered was professional, receptive, and incredibly helpful. In addition, we’ve been able to speak with many of you individually, and we appreciate the time you took to hear our concerns and ideas those conversations were encouraging and constructive.
I am writing today to respectfully urge your support in approving the proposed CFD 5 budget as presented. The budget reflects months of resident engagement and collaboration with City staff and represents a significant step forward in ensuring transparency, accountability, and responsible use of public funds.
