11. PUBLIC HEARINGS
A. Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Pacific Grove and the Police Officers Association (POA) Action required by August 17, 2022.
Public comment was received from POA President Wiley Griffin.
Action: Upon motion by Councilmember Smith and seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Amelio, Council voted to approve Resolution No. 22-045 approving the Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Pacific Grove and the Police Officers Association to cover the period of July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2024.
Motion carried 6-1, by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Mayor Peake, Mayor Pro Tem Amelio, Councilmembers McAdams, Poduri, Smith, and Tomlinson.
NOES: Councilmember Coletti.
ABSENT: None.
CEQA: Does not constitute a “Project” per California Environmental Quality Act Guidelines Section 15378
B. Amend the City of Pacific Grove's Conflict of Interest Code Action required by October 3, 2022.
No public comment was received.
Action: Upon motion by Councilmember Smith and seconded by Councilmember McAdams, Council voted to request the City Attorney read the title of the ordinance, motion to waive further reading of the ordinance, introduce and hold first reading of an ordinance to amend Pacific Grove Municipal Code (PGMC) Chapter 2.40, Conflict of Interest, to account for the addition, deletion, and modification of positions listed as “designated employees”; determine that, for the purposes of the City of Pacific Grove’s (City) Conflict Code, the City is the “agency;” and approve the updated Conflict Code.
Motion carried 7-0, by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Mayor Peake, Mayor Pro Tem Amelio, Councilmembers Coletti, McAdams, Poduri, Smith, and Tomlinson.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
