REGULAR MEETING
Tuesday, September 2, 2025, 4:00 p.m.
Council Chamber – City Hall – 300 Forest Avenue, Pacific Grove, CA
CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL
The meeting was called to order at 4 p.m. by Chair Perez_ who conducted roll call with the following LAB Members present in person: Tama Olver, Alycia Perez, Meganne Yeoman. Absent: Lucy Moore, Tom Oldham.
1. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Action: Upon motion by Yeoman and seconded by Olver, the Board voted unanimously 3/0/0 to approve the agenda.
2. COMMISSION AND STAFF ANNOUNCEMENTS (City-Related Items Only) The Board received announcements from Director Gaither.
3. COUNCIL LIAISON ANNOUNCEMENTS
City Council Liaison McDonnell was absent and no announcements were received.
4. GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENT/WRITTEN PUBLIC COMMENT
There were no general public or written public comments to receive.
5. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES
July 29, 2025 Library Board Special Meeting Minutes
Action: Upon motion by Yeoman and seconded by Perez, the Board voted unanimously 3/0/0 to approve the minutes.

A. Work Plan for 2025

Action: After discussion the Board agreed by consensus that there is no misalignment between goals in our workplan and goals set by the city council.

A. Review of Library Policies

Action: The Board gave feedback from review of the Collection Development and Library Rules of Conduct policies.
B. LAB Recommendations to City Council
Public comment received by Inge Lorentzen Daumer
Action: The November agenda will include an item regarding our opportunity to identify a single recommendation to be made to the city council for the fiscal year.
C. Art Acceptance Panel
Public comment not received.
Action: Board member Yeoman volunteered to serve on the Art Acceptance Panel.
D. Future Agendas
Public comment not received.
Action: Discussed proposals for future agenda items.
Proposals include nothing in addition to items discussed in prior agenda items.
