Keep Pacifica Beautiful (KPB) Mission
To identify City-owned sites which, through sponsored
plantings and the creation of public art, will contribute to community interest and pride
• Along main thoroughfares
• In parks and around the beaches
Implemented by means of safe work plans, sustainable
gardening practices, and collaborative funding sources
Utilize environmental-friendly landscape practices
that include:
►Mulch
►Use of drought-tolerant, low maintenance and native
landscape materials
►Incorporate drip irrigation or water efficient systems in landscaped areas
Adopted BAC Drought Policy in 2015: Sites are prepped in spring and summer for planting in autumn months to maximize the rainy season.
