• Formed a Subcommittee of the Mayor and Vice Mayor to work with staff on finalizing the buffer and units allocated to the Glen Oaks site.
• Requested staff to follow up with the property owner and tenant at Glen Oaks and Isola Riding Academy to evaluate options for maintaining horse operations. • Added limitations to the Opt-In Rezoning Program to limit projects to four units per site (rather than four units per acre) and require a discretionary review process. • Supported the Gateway Land Use designation recommended by Planning Commission for the Dorothy Ford Field and Open Space property and the Ladera Church property across the street. Planning for these two sites will take place together approximately two years into the Housing Element cycle. This will allow the Town to evaluate how Housing Element implementation is progressing prior to deciding how to develop Dorothy Ford Field and Open Space.
• Confirmed that there is not a proposal to build housing over the Ford Field Baseball Diamond. There may be an opportunity to rearrange the uses at the site and improve the baseball facilities with the overall project.
• Directed staff to submit the Draft Housing Element to the State Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) upon completion of the revisions. b. Update the Town Council Priority Efforts List and Approve the Proposed Council Priority Reporting Process.
