Subject: Proposal for Engineering Support During Construction – Esplanade & Palmetto Bicycle and Pedestrian Improvements Project
This proposal has been prepared to support the City of Pacifica and their consultants during the construction phase of the Esplanade & Palmetto Bicycle and Pedestrian Improvements Project. In July 2-24, Fehr & Peers and our subconsultant NCE prepared final construction documents for paving, curb ramp, signing, and striping improvements along segments of Esplanade and Palmetto in Pacifica. To continue supporting the city during the construction phase, we have prepared this proposal for additional support activities. Our detailed scope of work is described below.
Scope of Work
Fehr & Peers will provide engineering support during the construction of the project. Our efforts will cover activities related to supporting the city-administered construction process. While the exact requests from the city will be determined as part of the construction process, the following summarizes the types of work our team is prepared to support as part of this phase of the project If necessary, Fehr & Peers can support the city during the construction phase. The tasks that we would expect to support include
• Material submittal review
• Responding to requests for information (RFI) and other design questions arising during construction
• Site visits to resolve unforeseen issues on site, review cat-tracking, verify limits and locations of pavement rehabilitation, resolve issues in the field, etc. • Meetings and coordination with City staff and contractor • Preparation of as-built plans.

Fee
We propose to perform the above scope of work for a time and materials not to exceed fee of $15,000. If the above scope and fee are acceptable to you, this letter can serve as our authorization to proceed if you sign below and return this letter to us. We anticipate performing this work as an amendment to our existing contract for this project. We look forward to working with you on this project.
