Proposal for Services
Arborist for Project Management
• Provide consulting services during construction activities on behalf of the City of Pacifica. • Provide an ongoing interface with the construction team, representing City of Pacifica interests.
• Anticipated needs include tree protection during construction, pruning, tree removals, tree plantings and assessment of violations.
• Typical activities will include site meetings, Arborist Reports and oversight during work within tree protection zones.
• Work will proceed according to the Prime Contractor schedule, and at will, per City staff requests.
Fee Schedule:
Site visit fee with up to 1 hour of on-site time* $450.00 Hourly rate for additional time during the same site visit $240.00 Hourly time for meetings, reports and oversight $240.00 *Inclusive of dispatch, travel time and mileage
Actual time requirements are not in the control of Tree Management Experts, and are at-will by the City of Pacifica.
The following estimated time required is based solely on review of the project plan set, relevant parts of the bid documents and experience on similar projects.
Potential change orders to this Anticipated amount may be necessary due to the performance and schedule controlled by the Prime Contractor and/or Sub-contractors.
Anticipated site visits at $500 each for 16 visits $ 8,000.00 Anticipated additional 30 hours during site visits $ 7,200.00 Anticipated 20 hours of time for meetings and reports $ 4,800.00 Not-To-Exceed Total: $20,000.00

Any such role will require another Agreement and will result in substantially higher fees. Any requirement for deposition testimony as a percipient witness will be billed at double our standard rates.
Note: Trees are living organisms that exist in a natural setting with variable conditions. Even healthy trees that appear free of defects can and do fail. Recommendations and various tree services are intended to provide a reduction of risk but do not eliminate risk.
