RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Receive a presentation from San Mateo County Transit District (SamTrans) regarding SB 63 (Connect Bay Area Act) and the Local Investment Plan and provide further direction to staff, as desired.

BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
In February 2023, SamTrans staff contacted city staff to request a schedule to present their SB 63 Local Investment Plan to the City of Pacifica’s City Council and include a brief discussion and receive Council feedback.
This presentation is a part of the outreach to the City Councils in San Mateo County agencies, and the developed Local Investment Plan will be brought to the SamTrans Board on June 3, 2026.
At the conclusion of the presentation, the Council may provide direction to staff, if desired, on any actions or next steps regarding the proposal presented by SamTrans.
For reference, Attachments A and B include a letter from Vice Mayor Greg Wright and a letter from the City of Half Moon Bay to SamTrans with feedback regarding SB 63.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact on receipt of this presentation.
