FY 2025-26 Summary
FY 2025-26
Due to the City’s ongoing structural deficit, the FY 2025–26 Budget was balanced using one-time policy actions, including reduced allocations to the Pension Trust and use of the Debt Service Fund to provide temporary General Fund relief. These one-time adjustments also generated a modest surplus that allowed for targeted service enhancements and continuation of priority programs. As a result, the City did not specifically budget new expenditures using Measure Y funds in FY 2025–26. However, because Measure Y revenues are pooled within the General Fund, they continue to support ongoing commitments established in prior years, such as the annual police body camera software subscription, salaries and benefits for previously added positions, and the continuation of existing programs. The table below summarizes the estimated FY 2025–26 financial impact of these ongoing commitments initiated in prior years by Measure Y.

Summary
● $7.27 million collected/projected to date via a 0.5¢ Transactions and Use Tax ● 8% of General Fund revenues
● Has Funded Vital Services That May Not Have Been Funded Otherwise ○ Fire, Police, Roads, City Cost Reductions
● Will Expire in 2031 (After 9 Years)
● Oversight Committee Will Continue to Monitor Usage and Inform the Public https://www.cityofpacifica.org/government/commissions-committees/measure-y-citizens-oversight-committee Thank You for Attending
