CALL TO ORDER:
A Special Joint Meeting of the Palm Springs City Council , Boards, Commissions, and Committees was called to order by Mayor Bernstein on Monday, June 17, 2024, at 6:09 p.m.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:
Mayor Bernstein led the Pledge of Allegiance.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Councilmembers Grace Elena Garner and Lisa Middleton, Mayor Pro Tem Ron deHarte, and Mayor Jeffrey Bernstein.
Absent: Councilmember Christy Holstege
Also Present: Members from the Administrative Appeals Board, Airport Commission, Architectural Review Committee, Historic Site Preservation Board, Human Rights Commission, Library Board of Trustees, Measure J Oversight Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission, Planning Commission, Public Arts Commission, Sustainability Commission, and VillageFest Board.

A. RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO LEVY ASSESSMENTS WITHIN THE PALM SPRINGS
SMALL HOTEL TOURISM BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT AND SETTING A TIME AND PLACE FOR THE PUBLIC HEARING; REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF REPORT OF
THE TOURISM BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT ( TBID) ADVISORY BOARD, FISCAL YEAR 2024-2025
MOTION BY COUNCILMEMBER MIDDLETON, SECOND BY MAYOR PRO TEM DEHARTE, CARRIED 4-0, to review andapprovethe Report of the Tourism BusinessImprovementDistrict ( TBID) Advisory Board, Fiscal Year 2024- 2025; and adopt Resolution No. 25218 entitled, “ A RESOLUTION
OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS
INTENTION TO LEVY AND COLLECT ASSESSMENTS WITHIN THE PALM SPRINGS SMALL
HOTEL TOURISM BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT, AND SETTING A TIME AND PLACE FOR PUBLIC HEARING.”
