A SpecialMeeting of the Palm SpringsCity Council was called to order by Mayor deHarteon Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at 11:35 a.m.
ROLL CALL:

1. INTERVIEW AND APPOINT APPLICANTS TO THE HISTORIC SITE PRESERVATION BOARD, MEASURE " J" OVERSIGHT COMMISSION AND HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION.
The City Council interviewedthe applicantsfor the Historic Site PreservationBoard, Measure “J” OversightCommission, andHumanRightsCommission, andby consensusappointedthefollowing members:
Motion by Mayor deHarte, Secondby CouncilMemberBernstein, carried5-0; to appointMichael Paonessaand Eric McCreadyto the Historic Site Preservation Boardfor termsendingJune30, 2028. Eric McCreadyis to attendthelastHistoric SitePreservationBoardmeetingin June.
Motion by Mayor ProTem Soto, Secondby CouncilMemberReady, carried5-0; to appointJasonKravetzto the Measure “J” OversightCommissionwith a term endingJune30, 2028. Appoint Paul Travis, as an alternate, to the Measure “J” OversightCommissionwith atermendingJune30, 2026.
Motion by Mayor ProTem Soto, Secondby CouncilMemberReady, carried5-0; ReappointScottNevinsto theHumanRightsCommissionwith atermendingJune 30, 2028. Appoint MalakaiStrongto theHumanRightsCommissionwith a term endingJune30, 2027.
