FROM: Scott C. Stiles, City Manager
BY: Office of the City Clerk
SUMMARY:
This is the second reading of an ordinance approving the levy of special taxes in Community Facilities District No. 2025-1 (Serena Park). The City entered into a Development Agreement with the Serena Park development, which is located at the former Palm Springs Country Club, East of Sunrise Way and North of Verona Road. The Development Agreement provides for the City to cooperate with the property owner in the formation of a Community Facilities District (CFD) to finance any necessary public improvements for the Project as well as the fee required for purchase of open space. A CFD is a special financing district that will sell bonds to generate funds for the financing of the development fees and public facilities. Special taxes will be levied only on property within the CFD to repay the bonds.
