SUBJECT: RATIFY THE NOMINATION OF THE CITY OF INDIO AND THE CITY OF
COACHELLA TO THE PALM SPRINGS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
COMMISSION

RECOMMENDATION:
1. Reappoint Rick Wise, representing the City of Indio, to the Palm Springs International Airport Commission, effective immediately, for a term ending March 31, 2029.
2. Appoint Yadira Perez, representing the City of Coachella, to the Palm Springs International Airport Commission, effective immediately, for a term ending December 31, 2026.
BACKGROUND:
The Airport Commission consists of nineteen members; the members are appointed in the following manner:
Ten members are appointed in accordance with Section 2.04.060 of the Palm Springs Municipal Code.
Nine members are each appointed by the Palm Springs City Council from candidates nominated by each of the city councils of Cathedral City, Coachella, Desert Hot Springs, Indian Wells, Indio, La Quinta, Palm Desert, and Rancho Mirage, and the Board of Supervisors of Riverside County.
