A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PALM SPRINGS, CALIFO RNIA, APPROVING A
MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING RELATIVE TO
WAGES, HOURS, AND OTHER TERMS AND
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYME NT FOR EMPLOYEES IN
TEAMSTERS LOCAL 1932 FOR THE PERIOD JULY 1,
2026 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2027, SUBJECT TO
ASSOCIATIONS EXECUTING THE MEMORANDUM OF
UNDERSTANDING.
WHEREAS, Resolution 16438 designates the City Ma nager (acting personally or through a delegee) with authority to meet and confer in good faith on matters within the scope of representation includi ng wages, hours, and othe r terms and conditions of employment; and
WHEREAS, the City Negotiati on Team has met and conferred in good faith on wages, hours, terms and other conditions of employment with TEAMSTERS LOCAL 1932 “TEAMSTERS”; and
WHEREAS, as a result of such good fa ith negotiations, the City Negotiation Team have reached agreement with TEAMST ERS on the terms and conditions of a Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) gover ning employees of the City of Palm Springs within such union; and
WHEREAS, TEAMSTERS and the City N egotiation Team jointly recommend adoption of such MOU by the City Council;
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the Memorandum of Understandings between TEAMSTERS and the City, for the period Ju ly 1, 2026 through June 30, 202 7, on file with the City Clerk and incorporated herein by this refere nce, is hereby approved upon execution of said Memorandum of Understanding.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is authoriz ed and directed to fulfill any meet and confer process(es) in accordance with these changes and execute documents necessary to effectuate the above actions, including the allocation and compensation plans, salary schedules, agreements and c ontracts, and any non-substantial MOU language or reorganization in a form acceptable to the City Attorney.
