To the Palo Alto City Council and Planning Department:
I live within 600 feet of 949 Scott Street, and I'm writing to encourage you to allow the variances to go through at 949 Scott Street.
I'm delighted that people want to pay $2 million for a tiny lot in our neighborhood, and build a family home on it at great expense to themselves. The immediate neighbors already have natural buffers of a side yard for one, and a driveway for the other. Thanks to downtown residential parking restrictions--which I'm opposed to, by the way!--there is ample residential street parking in the neighborhood, making dedicated parking spaces for 949 unnecessary.
It's my opinion that you should let the new owners build what they want on their property.
Thank you for your time,
Elizabeth Fama
