Third and final community meeting held September 17, 2025 Attended by roughly 150 community members
Presented three phases of master plan and asked community members:
• What is working well and excites you?
• What is not working well or could be improved?
• What creative ideas do you have to make the space exciting?
6 CUBBERLEY MASTER PLAN
The Master Plan represents a long-term vision for Cubberley.
Phasing allows for the site to be developed over time, recognizing funding limitations and need to minimize program disruption during construction.
Phase 1 -
• Achievable through a successful ballot measure and support from community partners
• Combination of new and renovated buildings
• Recreation and Wellness Center and Performing Arts
• Programmable spaces for education, visual arts, flexible use
3 FUTURE PHASES
• Completes the concept of a long-term vision for the site • Phases 2 and 3 are unlikely to be funded by this ballot measure • Timing for future phases is unknown
(FUTURE PHASES)
(TO BE FUNDED BY A SUCCESSFUL BALLOT MEASURE)
21 POLL NUMBER TWO
Fairbanks, Maslin, Metz & Associates (FM3) designed poll to test:
• Support of a bond or tax measure to finance the land purchase and the extent of how much voters are willing to pay annually for a range of improvements.
• Openness to tax measures aside from a bond or parcel tax and general tax vs specific tax structures.
• Evaluate voter opinion on components in the Cubberley Vision Statement and priorities for the Cubberley Campus.
• Ask voters if they would support packaging additional projects with the ballot measure.
• Weigh willingness to pay the associated cost of new construction, renovation, and phasing of the project.
