Property Owner(s) and interested Parties:

NEXT COMPLIANCE DEADLINE: Friday, April 5, 2024, by 12:00PM. Failure to comply will result in additional enforcement.

Palo Alto Code Enforcement provided an emergency inspection on Monday, April 1, 2024, at 10:45 AM where the following was confirmed:
• Firewatch services were not in place. It is our understanding that they were discontinued on March 31, 2024 at 5 PM.
• Requested names and addresses of all tenants in all buildings remains outstanding.

Palo Alto Fire Department provided an emergency inspection on Monday April 1, 2024, at 2:00 PM where the following was confirmed:
• Firewatch services were not in place as identified above. There was no monitoring of the building and no log provided for March 31, 2024 - April 1, 2024 (24 hours), which are required to be submitted to PAFD when the building is occupied.
• Firewatch services were reinstated with a new service provider, and a second inspection was provided on the same day, Monday April 1, 2024, at 5:00 PM to confirm that the application and logs were shared and submitted to begin immediate Firewatch services.

Additionally, we received the email sent by Mr. Winer on March 31, 2024, which provided the following:

1. Pool test results and Pool drainage proposal.

2. Pool water test results indicated chlorine levels too high for the water to be discharged into the sanitary system safely. We suggest walingt 48 hours to test the pool water again. We will need to review those results to determine if they are of acceptable levels so that you may discharge the pool water safely.

Please provide the test results by April 5, 2024, by 12:00 PM via email. If the levels are acceptable, you may be able to begin draining the pool in an agreed upon approach.

You are being issued citations as of today for the following violations:

1. Firewatch services were removed without City's permission for 24 hours (March 31, 2024, 5:00 PM - April 1, 2024, 5PM. ($500.00 - one day)

2. Still outstanding from the required date of March 25, 2024: No physical addresses provided for identified tenants. ($500.00 × 10 days = $5,000.00) This $500.00 daily fine will continue to accrue until a list with physical addresses is submitted.

PROCEDURE AND CONSEQUENCES FOR NONCOMPLIANCE
Should the deadline above expire, a reinspection of the property on or about the date of expiration established above shall occur. If it is determined that the above substandard conditions, or any portion thereof, continue to exist, we may proceed with any combination of the following:
