(1) Discussion and Consideration of Planning Commission Actions of February 15, 2022
In consideration of Item #7, NC-1240-R21; Neighborhood Compatibility Revision for remodel to an existing single-family residence located at 2441 Chelsea Road. Lot 6, Block 2216, Tract 6888, Councilmember Murdock asked questions regarding the project and the direction given by the Planning Commission, and what confirmation could be provided by staff that the conditions of approval were met, and the enforceability of these conditions going forward in the future. City Contract Planner Jeffrey Graham explained the process that applicants follow including submittal of plans, and the work of the Planning and Building departments in final inspections that verify the work was done according to the approved plans.

Mayor Pro Tern Roos asked the City Attorney for clarification on the Municipal Code as it relates to the options available to the City Council in reviewing the Planning Commission Actions. The City Attorney noted that the Council could only make modifications to conditions that are not substantial in nature, and if the Council wanted to consider any substantial changes, they would need to set the matter for a public hearing.

Roger Biggelin addressed the City Council.
