If applicable, materials related to an item on this agenda submitted to the Council after distribution of the agenda packet are available for public inspection in the City Clerk's office during normal business hours. SPECIAL EVENT APPLICATION FOR THE PALOS VERDES LIBRARY DISTRICT DOORS OPEN PENINSULA EVENT SCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY, JUNE 17, 2023 AT VARIOIUS SITES ON THE PENINSULA Recommendation: That the City Council make the following motion: (1) Approve the Special Event Application for the Doors Open Peninsula event dated June 17, 2023; (2) Waive the noticing requirement, special event application fee, clean-up deposit, and charges for Public Works staff time; and (3) Allow the Palos Verdes Library District to post yard signs in the City right of way.

12. CONSIDER ADOPTION OF A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AWARDING ONYX PAVING COMPANY, INC. THE PW-687-22 FY 22/23 MISCELLANEOUS STREET REPAIRS PROJECT IN THE AMOUNT OF $222,000 AND AN APPROPRIATION OF GENERAL FUNDS ASSIGNED FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN AN AMOUNT OF $25,100 TO THE PROJECT Recommendation: That the City Council consider adoption of a Resolution to: (1) Approve the plans and specifications for the Fiscal Year (FY) 22/23 Miscellaneous Street Repairs Project (City Project No. PW-687-22); (2) Appropriate General Funds Assigned for Capital Projects in the amount of $25,100 to the Project; (3) Award of a construction contract to Onyx Paving Company, Inc. in the amount of $222,000; (4) Authorize the Interim City Manager to Execute all Contract Documents and Approve Additional Construction Expenditures not to exceed $19,200, which is approximately 8.6% of the contract amount; and (5) Authorize the Interim City Clerk to Record the Notice of Completion upon Acceptance of the Work by the Public Works Director.
