SPECIAL MEETING NOTICE/AGENDA
6:00 P.M. – July 24, 2025
NOTICE IS GIVEN, pursuant to Government Code Section 54956, that at the call of the Mayor of the Paradise Town Council a special meeting has been set for 6:00 p.m., July 24, 2025, at the Paradise Performing Arts Center at 777 Nunneley Road, Paradise 95969 for the following purpose:
2. CONSENT CALENDAR
2a. 1. Adopt Resolution No. 2025-___, “A Resolution of the Town Council of the Town of Paradise Repealing Resolution No. 2025-50 and Adopting a Resolution Confirming the Costs of Vegetation Abatement and Authorizing the Liens on the Secured Tax Roll”; and, 2. Authorize the Town Manager and Finance Director to approve direct charge (special assessment) changes; and,
3. Authorize the Town Manager and Finance Director to execute the governing authority certification related to the direct assessments on the property tax roll. (Aimee Beleu/Finance Director)
2b. 1. Adopt Resolution No. 2025-___, “A Resolution of the Town Council of the Town of Paradise Repealing Resolution No. 2025-52 and Adopt a Resolution Certifying to the County of Butte the Validity of the Legal Process Used to Place Direct Assessments (Special Assessments) on the Secured Tax Roll”; and, 2. Authorize the Town Manager and Finance Director to approve direct charge (special assessment) changes; and, 3. Authorize the Town Manager and Finance Director to execute the governing authority certification related to the direct assessments on the property tax roll. (Aimee Beleu/Finance Director)
3. COUNCIL CONSIDERATION
3a. Hear an informational update for the Paradise Sewer Project including:
a. Review of a short list of sewer system alternatives
b. Presentation of preliminary evaluation results
c. Opportunity for public input and feedback
Members of the public may address the Town Council only on items listed on the special meeting agenda. The Council is prohibited by law from considering any other business at this meeting.
