setbacks, reduced minimum housing unit sizes,
reduced parking requirements, and reduced open
space requirements. Mr. Man provided graphic
examples of multifamily housing types.
Discussion ensued concerning the requested
changes. Concern was expressed regarding the effect
of higher density on the massing, specifically along
major thoroughfares and affordability of the units.
Following discussion, the City Council requested that
staff schedule a special meeting of the City Council to provide the City Council with further details concerning the requested changes and to provide the City Council
with additional time to analyze their impact.
