4:07 p.m. in the Council Chamber at City Hall,
16400 Colorado Avenue, Paramount, California.

1. RECEIVE AND FILE
Report on Short-Term
Rentals

Planning and Building Director King gave the report
and presented a PowerPoint presentation. Discussion
ensued concerning the options related to short-term
rentals and the impact allowing them would have on
the City. Following discussion, with City Council
concurrence, staff was directed to draft an ordinance
strictly prohibiting short-term rentals in the City for City Council consideration.

2. REPORT
Revenue Enhancement
Measures
CF 47.1
Finance Director Dich gave the report and presented a
PowerPoint presentation providing options for four
revenue enhancement measures. Discussion ensued
concerning the various options. Following discussion,
with City Council concurrence, staff was directed to
further explore the options and feasibility of placing
measures related to a 1/4 cent sales tax increase and
a new parcel tax on the June and November 2026
ballots for consideration by the voters.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the
City Council, Mayor Lemons adjourned the meeting at
5:15 p.m. to a meeting on October 14, 2025 at 6:00
p.m. in the Council Chamber at City Hall, 16400
Colorado Avenue, Paramount, CA.
