Water&Power Notice of Public Hearing to Receive Public Comment Regarding SERVING THE COMMUNITY SINCE 1906 Implementation of Water Rate Adjustments Hearing Date and Time: March 14, 2022 at 5:00 p.m.

The Pasadena City Council will hold a public hearing on March 14, 2022 to receive public comment regarding proposed changes to the Water Rate Ordinance, Chapter 13.20 of the Posadena Municipal Code. Pasadena Water and Power ("PWP) is proposing the following adjustments:
1. Effedive April I, 2022 or as soon as practicable thereafter, increase the Dishibution & Commodity ("D&C") Charge and the Commodity Chorge;
2. Effective January 1, 2023 or as soon as practicable thereafter, increase the D&C Charge, the Commodity Charge and the Capital Improvement Charge ("CIC); and
3. Amend the description of the CIC in the Water Rate Ordinance to eliminate reference to the Water Distribution System" and add reference to the CIC rate as being applicable to all Water System capital expenditures
This notification is provided in compliance with Antide XIlI D Section 6 of the California State Constitution, and the Proposition 218 Omnibus Implementation Act.
The proposed rate increases will generate additional annual revenue of approximately S2.5 to $3.0 million effective April 1, 2022, and additional annual revenue of approximately S3.8 million effecive January 1, 2023. The proposed revenue increases contribute to the financial stobility of the Water System.
The following tables reflect the current and proposed rates. These are proposed changes only; final rate adjustments and date of implementation adopted by the Pasadena City Council may differ.

In accordonce with Artide XII D Section 6 of the Califomic State Consitution, witten protests to the proposed Implementation of Water Rate Adjustments will be considered if submitted prior to the public hering. Written protests must be submitted on or before 5:00 p.m. March 14, 2022 and may be submitted via email at [email protected] or sent to the Office of the City Clerk located at 100 N. Garfield Ave. Posadena, Californic 91101, Room S228. Please indude the parcel or billing address and write "Implementation of Water Rate Adjustments" on the written comments.
