Questions / I think the policy should say more to emphasize the need for de-escalation efforts to be Comments exercised before these lethal weapons are used. Such efforts need to be documented as part of the process to approve use. I say this because clearly the police use of gunfire is evidence showing behavior migrates to use of lethal force at a very rapid rate and have resulted in deaths that were unnecessary.
