Dear Councilman Kennedy,
First and foremost I want to thank you for the opportunity to serve Pasadena's District 3 as a human services commissioner for the past 10 months. It was an honor to do so and the experience has reinvigorated my interest in public life. Thank you for the confidence In my abilities.
Unfortunately, my time as a Pasadena resident has come to an end. We are now in escrow, which, if all goes as planned, will wrap on June 22, 2022. So, it is with a heavy heart that I must resign my post. I hope you will accept this letter of • I •
res1gnat1on.
The next meeting of the HS Commission is set for next week, on Wednesday June 8. I understand it is the big annual meeting when officers are voted on. I am happy to attend if you like, but if you did have a replacement in mind for my appointment, it could be a great time for them to enter the process. I do know that Daniel Mark is interested in the position. And I recommend him. He lives on summit and is the most involved person I know with getting the neighborhood together. Of course, that's all of that up to you, but he would be a great fit if you haven't already got someone lined up.
Okay, sir. That is it. I am proud to say I voted one last time and was so glad the timing worked out for me to do so. I am headed north to Washington to reset and plant roots in the Cascade Mountains. I hope we can remain friends and I am very much excited to get involved civically once I am settled into my new life. Thanks for the great role model and mentor you've been to me in politics. It truly has been an honor to work with you and serve Pasadena. I thank you very much and will always remain grateful.
Sincerely,
JD Cargill
