Dear Pasadena City Council,
This comment is in relation to item 24 on the 6.20.22 Agenda - Appointment of three community representatives to the Police Oversight Commission.
I am advocating for the 3 existing community representatives to be reappointed. This commission has had a series of starts and stops throughout the year and they are just starting to move forward with the recent hire of the Independent Auditor. They should not interrupt the flow as this team has been trained and and they are finally able to move forward with the business of this Commission.
Please reappoint the current CBO members to the 3 year term so this commission can finally get to work.
Best,
Elise Preston Mallory

Ti give them adequate time to do the work they admirably stepped forward to do, please reappoint community representatives Florence Annang and Alexis Abernathy to the Community Police Oversight Commission.

Dear Mr. Mayor and Members of the City Council:
I would like to add my voice to the chorus of support for the re-appointment of Ms. Florence Annang of the Pasadena NAACP and Dr. Alexis Abernathy of the Pasadena Chapter of The Links, Inc. to continue their service on the Community Police Oversight Commission.
These appointees have represented their organizations and their communities well, despite the staccato momentum of the commission to date. Please provide Ms. Annang and Dr. Abernathy the opportunity to remain on the commission so that the body as benefits from the continuity of the group as it is currently configured. A disruption in the commission makeup would have an adverse impact on our community and the intended mission of community oversight.
Thank you for your consideration and I urge you to vote to affirm the re-appointment of Ms. Annang and Dr.
Abernathy.
In Service,
Patrice Marshall McKenzie
