It's very disappointing that the Agenda Report makes no mention under "Additional Water Shortage Measures" (p.4). of consideration of revisions to the water rates that encourage conservation.
While it may be true that a change to the water rates cannot resolve the immediate shortage condition described in the AR, announcing an intent to initiate a rate proceeding would send a clear message to Pasadena residents that the related long-term threat to both imported water and local groundwater supply conditions posed by climate change is real and that Pasadena is taking it seriously. 08/15/2022
