Dear Members of the City of Pasadena Municipal Services Committee, I strongly support PWP's recommendation to enter into a contract with Sapphire Solar LLC, and express my appreciation for PWP's work to secure and negotiate this contract.

I look forward to seeing more renewable energy contracts so that Pasadena can achieve 100% carbon free electric power by 030.

Please note that, with the passage of the US Inflation Recovery Act's credits and incentives, renewable energy projects will proliferate, creating opportunities for carbon free power for our city.

Sincerely,
Jamie Scott

Chairman Wilson and members of the Municipal Services Committee, The Building Electrification Coalition supports and commends the PWP for its proposal to purchase solar power from the Sapphire Project in Riverside County. Electrifying our buildings is an important step in transitioning to a carbon free city. Transitioning the power source to those buildings to renewable energy is of the utmost importance. This proposal is a welcomed step in that direction.

This sounds to me like a good contract, and I congratulate the PWP for its proposal. I hope this is only one of many carbon free contracts in the near future. We don't have long to act. Every month counts.

Thank you,
Kathryn Kroger,

Members of the Municipal Services Committee,
I write in support of entering the contract with Sapphire Solar LLC.

This will provide 17% of PWP's RPS portfolio and is one step closer to 100% carbon free energy by 2030.

Thank you,
Sam Berndt
