In Support of Brandon D. Lamar, District 3 Council Member December 8th, 2022
City of Pasadena,
I have lived in Pasadena District 3 for 8 years and strongly support Brandon D. Lamar for City Council District 3.
As a resident in District 3 my hope is the Mayor and every council member recognize the support Mr. Lamar has from his constituency and to please listen to those voices. Please do not repeat the same failure as on Sept 29th, 2022 by appointing Council Member Justin Jones.
Due to the failure of the City of Pasadena to have a special election for the voters of District 3 to decide, 1 ask the Mayor and City council to do the right thing for District 3 residents and appoint Brandon D. Lamar to district 3 on Monday, Dec 12th.
Thank you,
Nicole Hodgson

To City Council Members,
We support Mr. Brandon Lamar's appointment to District 3 Councilman. We believe his community activism best reflects the needs and spirit of our Beloved late Councilman John Kennedy. Mr. Lamar appears to be the long distant runner with his pulse on the community.
Mr. Lamar represents the will of District #3, we hope the city council will consider that Mr. Lamar gained 41% of voter support in an election with Mr. Kennedy; he has lived in the district and was mentored by Mr. Kennedy; he brings the zeal of dedication to the community which Mr. Kennedy had.
Thank you for your consideration in listening to the will of District #3 residents.
Sincerely,
Gale Madyun

Dear City Council Members -
1 am a resident of Pasadena District 3 and ask that the Pasadena City Council please allow residents to have a voice in the appointment of our City Council seat. I was dismayed that back in October, the Council members seemed to disregard the overwhelming support of District 3 residents for Brandon Lamar, instead appointing Justin Jones in the interim.
I am asking you to please appoint Brandon Lamar, a Pasadenan who has been involved in local civic engagement since his youth, as our new council person for District 3. He is a wonderful example of someone who doesn't just live in this community, but who always strives to give back to and help grow this community.
I think he would be an incredible asset to our district - and our city - in this role! Thank you so much,
Shawnté Salabert
