Subject: LETTER OF SUPPORT FOR JUSTIN L. JONES TO BE RE-APPOINTED TO THE PASADENA CITY
COUNCIL
I support the reappointment of Justin Jones to the position of Councilmember, District 3 on the Pasadena City Council. Mr.
Jones current and prior involvement in community responsibilities demonstrates his care and commitment to the citizens of Pasadena.
Before he was originally appointed to the City Council, he reached out to me to learn more about the 180 affordable micro units we are developing at Pasadena Studios. On the construction tour, he demonstrated a broad understanding of the opportunities, challenges and issues associated with increasing the affordable housing inventory in Pasadena. I was aware of his experience in the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works, and we engaged in a wide-ranging discussion about the upcoming planning, zoning and infrastructure requirements necessary to meet the affordable housing requirements of the RHNA requirements.
Pasadena will be very fortunate to have Mr. Jones, civil engineer and dedicated community member, as a city council member as they plan the complex and costly infrastructure requirements of the 710 "stub" and other significant projects that will be undertaken in the near future to meet the city's housing needs.
