RE: 270-282 N Los Robles
Dear City Council Members:
Fuller Seminary is in support of the removal of 270-282 N Los Robles Avenue from the Fuller Master Plan and Development Agreement. The lot at 270 N Los Robles (grassy open space) was not owned by Fuller when the Master Plan was approved and therefore was never formally part of either document. The lot at 282 N Los Robles, the parking lot at the corner, was owned by Fuller but sold in 2016.
Fuller has not been associated with the sites since that time and there is no valid purpose for the sites to remain within the plan boundaries. Fuller is working on plan amendments to further reduce the plan boundaries because of changing models for the delivery of education. The amendment process is anticipated to occur by mid 2023. There is no circumstance in which this site might need to return to Fuller purposes and therefore should be removed from the plan.
Finally, while we support the removal of the parcel from the plan, Fuller has no comment on either the content or quality of the proposed development. Our support is limited only to the Master Plan changes.
