Hi Justin and Susana,
I hope you are both well!
We had our Library Commission meeting yesterday, and I don't have much of an update to provide. I was thrilled to hear that the progress on the Central Library retrofit is moving forward! Other than that, the same events that I wrote about after January's meeting were the topic of discussion, particularly the One City, One Story event coming up on March 24th.
I do, unfortunately, have a personal update. My husband recently got a new job, which is taking us away from Pasadena.
We are going to be moving in the first week of March, before the next Library Commission meeting. I therefore will need to step down from the Commission, and hopefully will make room for a fantastic new representative from District 3. I would be happy to stay on for a bit during the transition period and attend the March meeting, and even possibly the April and May meetings if you would like that, but I do understand if that would not be possible as I will no longer be· living in Pasadena by then.
I have loved my time on the Pasadena Library Commission, and I look forward to continuing to follow the progress of the Central Library. I want to reiterate my support for Tim McDonald becoming the permanent Library Director, and I look forward to seeing how that turns out.
