Item #1: Fossil Fuel Price Increase & Transition to Carbon Free Energy
I understand that these types of rate increases can be inevitable. What is frustrating is that rate increases are often used as an argument against transitioning to clean electricity yet here we are experiencing a 20% price increase from the use of fossil fuels. Carbon-free energy is less expensive than fossil fuels and won't have the same price volatility. Let's transition quickly please - and definitely by 2030.
Item #2: Add Electric Bikes to the City's EV Incentive Program
I would like to see e-bikes added to the City's EV incentive program. If the goal is to reduce VMT, let's make it easier for people to do that. We need to act with the urgency that the climate crisis demands.
