Dear city council members,
I deeply regret having to write this letter, as I would have preferred to keep these matters out of the public discussion.

However, I have been concerned with the large number of letters that have been submitted today supporting Allison Henry for appointment as alternate tenant member of the rental board. I feel that I have no choice but to air some of the history of her involvement with the Pasadena rent control campaign.

Allison is a founding member of the Pasadena Tenants Union. I worked with her directly for about 8 months on the drafting committee to craft Measure H. At that time, she was wholeheartedly in support of the measure, and from my recollection there were no specific provisions that she disagreed with at the time we completed the draft. I also considered her a personal friend. She is no longer a member of the tenants union.

Shortly after drafting, in early 2020, there was a schism between Allison and many other members of the Tenants Union.

It is unclear to me exactly what caused this. We had had some internal debate about communication platforms and organizational priorities, with the majority of the group expressing opposing opinions to Allison. (We are organized non- hierarchically and have no formal leaders. We try to make decisions by consensus but have a protocol to make decisions by supermajority if we can't reach consensus.) Some decisions were made, including the decision to press forward with the rent control campaign, that Allison disagreed with.

Following this, Allison suddenly cut off all contact with myself and most of the other active PTU members at the time, without explanation. She declined to attend conflict resolution sessions that were proposed with a neutral moderator, and as a result I can't be sure exactly what her grievances were.

Once we launched the campaign I discovered that she had been privately lobbying local groups such as POP!, Pasadena for All, and the South Pasadena Tenants Union not to support or endorse the rent control campaign. I heard her arguments only indirectly, but the gist was that she believed the law would not survive legal challenges for various reasons. This has evidently not been borne out by the recent court case brought by CAA. Luckily myself and some lawyers were able to talk through the concerns with some of these other organizations directly, and it didn't end up impacting their support in the end.

I have heard Allison tell other people in the community that she was bullied by members of the tenants union. In fact, I believe the opposite to be true. She was unnecessarily cruel to other union members who weren't doing things her way, in private and in public fora, including to women of color, some of whom left the organization because of her behavior. I mention this because she has previously levelled charges of sexism when people disagree with her. I want to mention, as another woman who was in the room, that I don't believe this to be the case. In fact, she was not supportive of other women in the organization.

Allison did communicate with the proponents of the measure, nor participate in the ballot qualification or election campaign for Measure H. She was not involved at all once drafting concluded. In fact, she actively worked behind the scenes to sabotage our working relationships with other local organizations. 4/19/2023
1 Item 3
Allison personally treated me in a way that was hurtful and unacceptable as a fellow community organizer and a former friend.

I believe that at one point she really did believe in protecting Pasadena's vulnerable tenants. Now, it seems to me that she is motivated more by her own political standing and desire for the spotlight. I believe putting her on the rental board could create a hostile environment for some of the other board members, especially those with less political experience and ability to stand up to her subtle and insidious bullying. I say this from personal experience having worked closely with her before.

I hope the city council will take these concerns seriously and appoint one of the many other qualified tenants, ideally someone low-income and Spanish-speaking who can represent a historically underrepresented community.

Sincerely,
Dr. Jane Pananagden

Dear City Council,
My name is Lambda, a resident and tenant in District 3. A majority of Pasadenans are tenants, and many of us are rent burdened. With Measure H, we tenants can finally be represented in our government, in the rental board. In District 3, Measure H won by a wider margin than in other districts.

Please support Brandon Lamar for District 3, who made rent control central to his campaign when running for the City Council. Please also support Aaron Markowitz, tenant from District 1, as an at large member.

He is very dedicated to tenant justice and has spent every weekend for a year talking to volunteers and neighbors about Measure H. He made great contribution to getting Measure H on the ballot and helping it to pass.

It is important to have people who understand the situations faced by tenants on the rental board for us to be represented.

Measure H won by a margin of over 7%, but the California Apartment Association and some local landlords sued to try to overturn it against the will of voters. Some of them are applying to be on the rental board to obstruct implementation of Measure H. Please oppose Simon Gibbons and Tyler Werrin, who are among the plaintiffs. Please also oppose Terry Tornek, who coauthored the arguments against Measure H in the ballot handbook and took campaign money from those who funded the lawsuit.

While the rental board can have members who voted no on H, it should not include individuals who sued the city to overturn the will of the voters with specious claims about unconstitutionality.

Thanks,
Lambda

I'd like to express my support for Aaron Markowitz as the tenant representative for District 1 on the rental housing board.

Aaron Markowitz is clearly the best choice for this seat. Aaron's application shows obvious dedication to the residents of Pasadena and has personally talked to hundreds of renters, homeowners, and landlords specifically about their housing needs and issues. Aaron shows dedications to the purpose of Article 18 and the rental board, as well as a thorough understanding of the law - which is critical for the first board as it gets its bearings.

Additionally, the current nominee's application is lackluster and minimal. Each other the other District 1 applicants clearly took time to provide thoughtful answers and truly consider the position and what's at stake. As such, l am disappointed in Councilmember Tyron Hampton's nominee. With his choice, it feels that Mr. Hampton is not taking the appointment process very seriously.

Please consider appointing Aaron Markowitz for District 1, the applicant who has shown they will make every hour of this part time position valuable.

Thank you,

Dear Sir or Madam,
I would like to ask landlords to be considered in an equal manner to the appointed as tenants would be. I strongly believe landlords should be part of the board to mitigate the already heavily sided tenant participation. There is no equal balance for landlords.

I would also like to urge the Council to consider in equal maner the plaintiffs in the lawsuit against Prop H, to be part of the board.

My concern is that if one does not agree with the group supporting Prop H, they want them excluded. I really do not see any progress in excluding landlords.

I appreciate your consideration.

Do not click links or open attachments unless you know the content is safe. Report phish using the Phish Alert Button. Learn more....

I'd like to express my support for Robert Escobedo as the tenant representative for District 4 on the rental housing board.

Robert's application shows understanding of tenant struggles in Pasadena, as well as the needs of landlords. He has extremely relevant experience with assisting renters, property buyers, and property sellers in understanding natural hazards and local laws that may impact their properties. He has also experience volunteering for homeless services, showing he has an understanding and perspective of housing issues from all angles.

Additionally, the current D4 nominee's application is lackluster and concerning. The applicant didn't even take the time to answer all the questions, including the critical ones on how the applicant would add value to the board, what the objectives of the board even are, and how they would help achieve those objectives. Someone who won't even attempt to describe the purpose of the board and how they specifically would add value is not an acceptable pick.

Please consider appointing Robert Escobedo for District 4 tenant representative on the rental housing board.

Thank you,

I'd like to express my huge support for Gian McCoy as the alt-tenant representative for the rental housing board.

Gian's application was extremely well thought-out and organized. He shows an understanding of the objectives of the rental housing board and a strong dedication to being a valuable member and contributing to its success. He even spelled out a personal plan including best practices, attention to data accessibility and collection, and engaging with the board, other government entities, and community.

Additionally, Gian has technology and communication skills critical to setting up the first rental housing board for achievement, as one of the core objectives of the board is to interface with the public and create a rental registry. Gian can provide unique perspectives as he has lived in many different municipalities with varying housing regulations.

Furthermore, he has experience arranging housing for homeless people, making him aware of both the housing stock and the specific issues unhoused and low-income people face.

Gian is an outstanding choice for alt-tenant representative on the rental housing board. Please consider appointing him.

As an Essential Housing Provider in the City of Pasadena for 20 years I believe in fair and equitable policies.

I'm voicing my strong opposition to this "special meeting" be held with so little notice to the community. In addition urge that all At-Large seats to be filled by rental housing owners.

A board comprised of both renters and owners will provide input and knowledge by both sides.

Providing housing is complex and expensive. Owner representation on the board can provide context for thoughtful decision making.

A board that does not represent both side can easily be criticized for being biased and illegitimate.

In order to preserve the quality housing for our beautiful city representatives on both sides must be have seat at this table.

Sincerely,
Deborah Lutz

Dear Honorable Mayor and Council Members,
I am a Pasadena rental property owner who is very concerned about the long term ramifications of Measure H coupled with uncertainty in our economy. I request that open seats for the Rental Housing Board be appoint to landlords instead of tenants. The majority of the Board will already be represented by tenants who are less aware of what it takes to be a housing provider.

I requested a stress test for three of my properties last week, two of which are in Pasadena. You'll note from the info below that the payment amounts will increase approximately 275% when the fixed rate period becomes adjustable. The interest rate used to determine the new ARM rate is based on the current LIBOR rate + margin. Fortunately, my loans won't adjust until May 2026. Nonetheless, the table highlights similar dire consequences housing providers will face when their loans become adjustable unless they're able to significantly increase their income. I don't believe the general public is aware of or considered something like this when they determined that rent increases of 75% of CPI would be fair increases.

I'd like to express my support for Yaneli Soriano for the District 5 tenant representative on the rental housing board.

Yaneli's application demonstrates a commitment to Pasadena and community, phenomenal communication skills, and deep knowledge of various laws and legal processes.

Roughly a third of Pasadena's residents speak Spanish. More than two-thirds of Latino households in Pasadena rent. It is critical that these populations are represented on the rental housing board.

Please appoint Yaneli to the District 5 tenant seat on the rental housing board.

I'd like to express my support for Ira West and Michelle White as At-Large members on the rental housing board.

Michelle White is a long-time Pasadenan with intimate knowledge of the city and its housing history and struggles.

Michelle can provide a balanced, thoughtful perspective as both a longtime renter and nonprofit housing provider. She has a deep understanding and a lot of experience in housing law and advocacy.

Ira West is also a long-time Pasadenan, with knowledge and experience as both a renter and homeowner of various properties in the city. He is deeply involved in the community as an educator and housing advocate. Ira shows great commitment to being fair and balanced, and to reconciling tenant and landlord conflicts.

I'd like to express my serious concern that Tyler Werrin and Simon Gibbons have been nominated for at-large positions on the rental housing board.

Tyler Werrin and Simon Gibbons are PLAINTIFFS on the currently STILL OPEN lawsuit against the City to throw out Article

18. The final wording of the court ruling has not yet been finished, and once it is, the plaintiffs (Werrin and Gibbons) still have SIXTY DAYS to APPEAL.

The California Apartment Association, another plaintiff in the suit, has also stated that it is still exploring all available options" after Judge Strobel rejected most of their claims.

This would be a serious conflict of interest if any plaintiffs in an open case against the city sat on any city board, especially one meant to implement the very law they are ACTIVELY trying to get rid of.

The nominations of Tyler Werrin and Simon Gibbons to the rental housing board are unacceptable. Please reconsider for the success of this board.

Hello,
As a resident of Pasadena for over 20 years, I strongly urge council members to refrain from appointing applicants who do not intend to act in good faith of the tenants of Pasadena, CA.

Applicants Simon Gibbons, Tyler Werrin and Terry Tornek have clearly shown through lawsuits, campaigns and legal actions taken to delay the implementation of measure H, that their goal is to overturn the will of the voters.

These applicants have no place on the rental board and it is evident they will NOT work to successfully implement Article XVIII of the City.

To make a strong start in setting up the rent program in Pasadena and begin implementing Article XVIII of the City Charter, we need board members who have acted, and will continue to act, in good faith. Rent Board members should be people committed to the successful implementation and enforcement of the provisions, not working to make it fail.

I strongly urge you to vote for applicants that will uphold the will of the voters and the integrity of our electoral system of Pasadena, CA on to the rental board.

Thank you,

Dear city council,
I am a recent Caltech PhD and I have been organizing for tenant justice for over 4 years. I'm sending this message in support of certain candidates for the rental board, and to express my apprehension about other candidates. Having been involved with the Measure H campaign (now Article XVIII), I really hope that the city council will appoint candidates who reflect the will of the people.

I support

1. Aaron Markowitz for district 1. Aaron is a PhD candidate at Caltech, an author of the original bill that is now Article XVIII, and was a leader in the campaign, devoting a tremendous amount of their time to the campaign. Aaron has worked with tenants in the community for years. Aaron is an expert on the content of the article, a careful thinker, and an extremely thoughtful person.

2. Brandon Lamar for district 3. I don't think much needs to be said about Brandon Lamar :)

3. Roberto Escobedo for district 4. Robert brings a balanced perspective and understands the needs of both tenants and landlords. He has experience in assisting renters, property buyers, and property sellers. Robert has also volunteered with Union Station Homeless Services—he clearly cares about the community.

4. Ryan Bell for district 6. Ryan is the regional coordinate with Tenants Together, a statewide organization, and was a leader in the Measure H campaign. He is a long-time Pasadena resident and brings a deep understanding of housing and tenant justice.

Based on the written applications, I also support: Dianne Romero Chavez for district 2, Yanieli Soriano for district 5, and Deborah Dunlop for district 7. Similarly, the alternate tenant applicants Katherine Hindman and Gian McCoy have my support.

For at large members, I support
Michelle White, who is the executive direct at Affordable Housing Services in Pasadena.

Ira West, who is involved with the community as an educator. Ira has recently begun working on the Pasadena Tenants Union solidarity hotline and I am very impressed with his knowledge of the laws in Pasadena, his compassion for others, and his commitment to being fair to both tenants and landlords.

3. Peter Dreier, who is an expert on housing and urban policy.

Although I'm less familiar with them, I also support Adela Torres, Arnold Siegel, James Creely, and Thea Orozco.

I strongly oppose the applications of

1. Ahni Dodge, Simon Gibbons, and Tyler Werrin. These three people were plaintiffs in the lawsuit that attempted to strike down Article XVIII. They are clearly acting in bad faith and are not interested in the proper implementation of the article.

2. Daniel Gonzales. Daniel recently moved to Pasadena and was obnoxiously vocal on social media about his opposition to Measure H. In particular, he had qualms with the rental board itself.

Terry Tornek. While he was mayor of Pasadena, TT was hostile to any form of tenant protections. Frankly, it was painful to listen to his twisted arguments in city council meetings. TT coauthored an argument against Measure H and took campaign contributions from the funders of the No on H campaign. Similar to the above, I do not think he is interested in the smooth implementation of the content of the article. Moreover, he had his chance to make change the passage of Measure His historic victory for the people of Pasadena, and it is the working class people that deserve to have their voices heard.

Appointing any of these applicants would be a betrayal of the people of Pasadena.

Thanks.

WOOOO BRANDON LAMAR IS BACK AGAIN!! ARE WE FINALLY GONNA SEE HIS NAME AND FACE AS PART OF CITY GOVERNMENT??? I SURE HOPE SO!!!!
So obviously, I'd like to express my support for Brandon Lamar as District 3 tenant representative on the rental housing board. He is an incredible person and an amazing choice for this seat. Considering last year's city council election and subsequent what-do-we-do-if-an-elected-dies fiasco, this has all been said many times over by now, however I'll say it again just in case. Brandon Lamar has so much love and commitment to this city, everyone in it, and it's bright future. He has a ton of experience in advocacy, community engagement, communications, and the realm of law. He knows this city and his district extremely well, which happens from being a life-long Pasadenan and then a city council candidate who has knocked thousands of doors.

It is high time District 3 sees some representation it has asked and voted for. Follow through and appoint Brandon Lamar for District 3 tenant representative on the rental housing board. Please!!! Thank you,

I am writing in support of Allison Henry for a seat on the rental board or as an alternate for the rental board. I have known Allison for over 10 years and in that time she has worked tirelessly for the community. She is diligent, thorough and understands the nuances of policies and procedures. During the pandemic I saw her time and again give of herself to help tenants navigate complex legal issues.

She helped write Measure H, sat on Mayor Gordo's housing task force and she is on the board of her neighborhood association (Garfield Heights). She is adept at interpreting the minutia that the implementation of Measure H will require.

Allison wants to keep Pasadena a place where we can all afford to live- working class families, single parents, young adults who grew up here, young families just starting out and seniors on fixed incomes. Her enthusiasm for this work helps remind me it is people like Allison that makes Pasadena a wonderful place to live.

Additionally, individuals who actively fought against Measure H and tried to sue the city (Dodge, Werrin, Gibbons) have NO PLACE on this board and should not be considered for at large seats. It would be counter productive in moving forward to have people who's primary goal would be to tear down the measure that citizens of Pasadena voted for fair and square!
I recommend Allison Henry without reservation. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions Julie Marenco

To Whom It May Concern,
I wanted to show my support for Allison Henry's nomination as an Alternate Tenant Seat Rental Board Member. As her neighbor and fellow board member on the Garfield Heights Neighborhood Association, I've seen how dedicated she is to helping our community.

Allison has been a great resource for tenants and an active member of our neighborhood association. Her work with Measure H and the housing task force proves her commitment to addressing housing issues in Pasadena.

I'm confident that Allison's experience, strong relationships with community members, and passion for helping others make her the right fit for this position. I hope you'll consider her nomination during the special meeting this evening.

Thanks for your time!
Best,
Jonathan Langager

As a Pasadena resident in District 3 for the past 10 years I support the following appointment of Brandon Lamar to represent District 3. The rental housing board is an important component of implementing Measure H which was overwhelming supported by our district and the city.

Please appoint Gian McCoy and Katherine Hindman for the alternative tenant seats.

For the at large appointment please appoint Michelle White and Aaron Markowitz.

I share my concerns of the following individuals being appointed to the at large appointments due to filing a legal law suit against Measure H and vested interest in ignoring Pasadena voters decision in supporting Measure H.
• Ahni Dodge
• Simon Gibbons
• Tyler Werrin
Additionally, former Mayor Terry Tornek has a vested interest in opposing Measure H and ignored countless tenants speaking at city hall regarding displacement and voiced his opposition to any rent stabilization/just cause initiatives. Mr. Tornek's history includes co-authoring arguments against Measure H in the ballot handbook, actively campaigned against Measure Hand received campaign money from those who funded the lawsuit against Measure H.

Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council,
I wholeheartedly support the nomination of Allison Henry for an Alternate Tenant Seat on the City's new Rental Housing I have had the pleasure of serving alongside Allison on the Mayor's Housing Task Force. From my experience, I have found her to be bright and hard- working, a true team player, an excellent researcher, and a passionate and erudite speaker in favor of the right to fair, decent, and affordable housing for all Pasadenans. As an advocate for tenants, Allison helped craft Measure H and was instrumental in ensuring equitable protections for renters were included in the City's Housing Element. I have gratefully learned much from her.

I can think of no one more qualified to serve on the Board as a tenant representative than Allison Henry. In your deliberations tonight, please do give her the consideration she so merits.

Respectfully,

I am writing to urge your appointment of ALLISON HENRY to the rental board. Allison has been a tremendous asset to our community and is deeply committed to fair housing that keeps our neighbors housed. She has been a resource for me personally and many of my neighbors. I have always been able to go to Allison with my questions and concerns about housing policy and my rights as a tenant, and she has been steadfast and supportive. Our rental board and our community need the voice and hard work of people like Allison's and I hope the Council will enthusiastically appoint her to the board.

Thank you,

Dear Pasadena City Council,
I am writing to offer my wholehearted support for Allison Henry on the Pasadena Rental Board at tonight's council meeting.

I have lived next door to Allison for the last 4 1/2 years. This has allowed me to see her energy and work to support her neighbors, both in our apartment complex and in our Garfield Heights neighborhood. I have seen how many people she knows and how positively they recount her help for them over the years. I have also seen specific cases in my time here where she has helped neighbors in difficult circumstances with information about often hard-to-understand rental regulations, advice, and advocacy.

Additionally, I know that Allison stays informed about housing issues more broadly because that is also an area in which I have been involved. I was a student at Fuller Seminary, where I did research work on housing and homelessness. I work as a chaplain, including at Union Rescue Mission, a homeless shelter in downtown LA, and at Good Samaritan Hospital in downtown LA. That work involves frequent discussions of housing justice, homelessness, and the LA County rental market.

It also means I keep up with news and information on those topics. Allison and I regularly talk about the topics and 1 am impressed with how much she knows (usually more than I do).

Allison cares deeply about justice and her Pasadena neighbors.

Thanks for your time and consideration,
John

Dear Mayor and Members of the Pasadena City Council,
I am writing in support of appointing Allison Henry as the Alternate Tenate Member on Pasadena's Rental Board.

I have known Allison for almost a decade because of her tireless tenant justice work in Pasadena and surrounding communities. As a renter, I am grateful to know that someone like Allison is always there for me to reach out to if I need assistance navigating or understanding my options as a tenant. As a Planning Commission in the City of San Gabriel, I have always appreciated Allison's knowledge of and participation in discussions about inclusionary housing.

Allison has helped many people, often those desperately trying to find housing or stay housed. Her housing knowledge and compassion for others will make her an asset to the Pasadena Rental Board. I unequivocally endorse Allison Henry for a seat on Pasadena's Rental Board.

Sincerely,
Sean McMorris,
Renter and San Gabriel Planning Commissioner

Dear City Council,
I am writing to express my support of Aaron Markowitz, a tenant in District 1, for appointment to the Pasadena Rental Housing Board. Aaron is the best choice for this seat, as he has extensive experience writing and advocating for Measure H. Aaron has a history of helping and advocating for tenants in Pasadena. He spent every Saturday and Sunday for a year talking with volunteers and neighbors about Measure H, giving him a balanced perspective on the needs of Pasadena tenants.

I urge you to consider appointing Aaron as a member representing District 1.

Please, Do not appoint ANY person who was a plaintiff in the lawsuit against Measure H, or actively campaigned against Measure H! They are, SPECIFICALLY: Ahni Dodge, Simon Gibbons, Tyler Werrin, and Terry Tornek! Their very purpose of being on the board is to SABOTAGE the tenant protections that 54% of Pasadena voters voted to pass! This is a huge conflict of interest! There is no place for landlords on this rental control board, but most of all these 4 who have been completely public and open that they don't even believe Measure H should have passed or exist. They will actively work against the will of Pasadena voters.

Please, DO appoint the following candidates:

Aaron Markowitz, District 1.

Dianne Romero Chavez, District 2.

Brandon Lamar, District 3.

Robert Escobedo, District 4.

Yanieli Soriano, District 5.

Ryan Bell, District 6.

Deborah Dunlop, District 7.

Gian McCoy - alternate tenant
Michelle White - at large
Ira West - at large
Peter Dreier - at large
These candidates have shown their dedication to the community in Pasadena, their understanding of the struggles of tenants, and their dedication to seeing Measure H succeed. 04/19/2023

Dear: City Council Members,

I believe we need balance of both Tenant's and Landlord's on the board. so that fairness can be focused on all accounts. Therefore, I am in favor milang boara sha nt bodge to respectfully hold seats on the mental be held accountable to the highest accord.

Furthermore, i'm curious how such a group can honor Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion when it seems the fight to keep this Board one sided is the main obiective?

Dear City Council,
I am writing to express my vehement opposition of former Mayor of Pasadena Terry Tornek for appointment to the Pasadena Rental Housing Board.

Terry Tornek co-authored the Argument Against Measure H and the Rebuttal to Argument in Favor of Measure H in the ballot handbook, actively campaigned against it, and took campaign contributions from the group funding the lawsuit against Measure H for his Mayor campaign. The Rent Board can include residents who did not support Measure H, but it should not include individuals who have took campaign contributions from those who sued the city to overturn the will of the voters.

To make a strong start in setting up the rent program in Pasadena and begin implementing Article XVIII of the City Charter, we need board members who have acted, and will continue to act, in good faith. Rent Board members should be people committed to the successful implementation and enforcement of the provisions in Article XVIII of the City Charter, not people who are looking for ways to make it fail. Terry Tornek cannot be trusted to act in good faith and fairly represent tenants like me on the board.

Sincerely,
Piero

Dear City Council,
I am writing to express my vehement opposition of landlord Tyler Werrin for appointment to the Pasadena Rental Housing Board. Tyler was a Plaintiff in the lawsuit to stop the implementation of Measure H against the will of the voters. The Rent Board can include residents who did not support Measure H, but it should not include individuals who sued the city to overturn the will of the voters with specious claims about unconstitutionality.

I am writing to you to highly recommend Allison Henry to serve as a member on the Pasadena Rental Board.

Allison is one of the most passionate and dedicated people I know regarding fair housing and tenant advocacy. She has championed the tenants at our property to receive a fair and equitable rent during the recent rent control transition. She encouraged us to challenge the property management company when they tried to ignore the passage of Measure H. In doing so, we were able to receive a decrease in our monthly rent, as well as the mandated rollback.

Allison is tenacious when it comes to standing up for fairness and equality for all. She works tirelessly on whatever task is at hand with total integrity. The Rental Board would be fortunate to have her as a member in any capacity. A glance at her resume would prove she is more than qualified.

Thank you in advance for your consideration.

I heartily support Ms Henry as an alternate rental board member. She helped organize Pasadena Tenants Union about six or seven years ago and was instrumental in the original wording of the charter amendment as proposed back then. (The current wording, other than the formula based on CPI, is very similar to what she and others had proposed.) She's been in Pasadena for many years, volunteers and is employed by agencies whose goals are to better the community, and has been very involved in matters pertaining to our City. She's also fun to be around! Joe Bautista
