Dear Council Member and Staff:
It's with great regret that I share I have to step down from my appointment to the Human Relations Commission. I was just promoted and because my job (at AARP) will now be 50% advocacy work, I was informed that my commission position is a conflict of interest.
I was impressed with the commission in the two meetings I attended, and I hope you are able to find another candidate to fill this vacancy.
Again, very sorry about this, and please let me know if you have any questions. I will also notify the commission members.
