Dear Mayor Gordo and City Councilmembers,
My name is M.L. dark, Ph.D. and I am a tenant in Pasadena Council District 7. I am writing in today to ask you to approve items 26 and 27 without delay.

I voted YES on Measure H as I wished to stay in the apartment I have lived in for 29 years and to stay in the City of Pasadena. I hear weekly from Seniors whose rent is now higher than their Social Security check, who have received a $600 rent increase since their apartment building was sold, etc., etc. Individuals and families who used to be able to live in Pasadena can no longer afford to. This is a sad state of affairs for these people and for the City.

The work it takes to set up what is for all practical purposes a new city department is vast and the urgent public need is enormous. The PRHB needs to have the resources necessary to continue its work of creating the program and providing urgent assistance to tenants and landlords who are asking for its assistance.

Please vote YES on items 26 and 27 without delay.

Sincerely,
M.L. dark, Ph.D.
