Hello, thank you for reading my email. I am a Pasadena resident and I believe the streets need to be safe. I have seen many drivers turning on the one way streets that are adjacent to the 210 fwy fail to look for pedestrians that may be crossing the street, as these drivers are preoccupied looking in one direction for cars only. And speedsters are another issue. Thank you very much.

Dear members of the Municipal Services Committee,
Safety is ALWAYS appropriate.

I am a Pasadena resident who cares deeply about equity and the environment. I am writing to express support for All Ages & Abilities Greenways.

People walking and hiking in Pasadena deserve safe, comfortable spaces. We already have 50 north/south streets built to move cars. What we desperately need are a few streets that prioritize people. Drivers can still use these streets, too, but can easily keep speeds under 20 MPH on just four streets.

Most residents want to live on safe, quiet streets. In addition, we need to consider our vision for the city as a whole.

Pasadena needs a network of streets that are comfortable for people who don't drive a car, including people who are too young, too old, or too poor to drive. Plus, the climate emergency demands that we support affordable, low-carbon transportation.

The National Association of City Transportation Officials recommends that ALL bicycle facilities follow the All Ages and Abilities guidelines.

Ignoring this national best practice would be a disservice to anyone who wants safe streets. Please take this step for a more livable, more vibrant, and more equitable Pasadena.

Thank you for everything you are doing for our city.

Dear members of the Municipal Services Committee,
I am a nearby Alhambra resident who cares deeply about climate change, road safety, and mobility for all. I am writing to express support for All Ages & Abilities Greenways.

More vulnerable road users, like pedestrians and cyclists, deserve infrastructure and policies that protect them against more dangerous road users (cars). Giving pedestrians and cyclists more options to safely move throughout Pasadena would reduce car trips, reduce the impact of climate change, and reduce the chance of injury and death on the roads.

I know that I would bike to eat and shop in Pasadena more often if I knew that there was more safe infrastructure. I've already seen this happen with bike infrastructure in the SGV. The bike lanes on Marengo Ave, though imperfect, have changed my travel habits - they've induced more leisure and shopping trips to South Pasadena, because I know I have a reliable north/south route from Alhambra to South Pas.

Please prioritize creating a network of Pasadena streets that give mobility freedom to those who are too young, too old, or too poor to have consistent car access. This would also be an amazing opportunity to facilitate more low-carbon transportation in the face of dire consequences from global warming.

Best,
Elliott

Dear members of the Municipal Services Committee,
I am a Pasadena resident -1 live on Craig Avenue and commute daily on the streets of Pasadena. Wider access to bike lanes would greatly benefit my well-being because they would make it easier and safer for me to get to work, and ride my bike for leisure.

Thank you for all your hard work to make Pasadena a great place to live! Best,
John Lathrop

Subject: Pasadena Greenway
Hello,
I'm writing to show my support of the All Ages and Abilities Greenway initiative in Pasadena. I currently commute by bike to work and social activities and appreciate streets with bike lanes and/or slower car traffic. It's often difficult to connect safe streets together to get to a destination and adding 4 north-south greenways would make a huge difference.

Thanks for your time,
Atex Christensen
