The Parks and Rec letter claims artificial turf grass improves conservation and sustainability but there are more sustainable alternatives to artificial turf grass.
I have attached a video that provides some insights as to why natural turf grass and landscaped treated with compost is the more sustainable option. Many cities, schools and sports complexes are moving in this direction for many reasons including injuries, physical reactions to various chemicals, impacts on wildlife and their habitats, warming temperatures, etc but sustainability is one of the significant reasons.
