STANDARD PLANS PROGRAM FOR ACCESORY DWELLING UNITS (ADUs) Dear Economic Development & Technology Committee:
I will not be able to attend the Committee's Meeting in person. Nonetheless, I hope a couple questions regarding the Pre-Approved ADU Plans could be asked.
Specifically:
1. What is the homeowner's time and cost savings anticipated to be if he/she uses one of the Pre-Approved ADD Plans rather than following the typical process of hiring an architect or engineer to create the ADU plans from scratch, submitting the plans to the City for review, etc?
2. The Planning Department's website currently provide three (3) Pre-Approved ADD Plans. Are any additional plans going through the process of Pre-Approval? My thanks in advance for the Committee's anticipated attention to these questions.
