Thank you for agendizing support for Measure A. This measure would continue the success of Measure H and improve on it. It would help fund the development of affordable housing and continue to fund much-needed services for our unhoused residents. If Measure A does not pass, Measure H will sunset in 3 years, and Pasadena and many other cities will lose funding that it provides. It currently funds a significant amount of our services to people living in permanent supportive housing. We will almost certainly see a rise in homelessness if Measure H sunsets with nothingto replace it.

Please send a message to our residents that you want our City to be a partner in ending homelessness by approving this agenda item and, in addition, by significantly increasing city-generated funding for housing for our unhoused residents.

Thank you.

Dear Mayor Gordo and City Council Members,
By supporting Measure A, we have a great opportunity to homelessness as we have for over 50% of our unhoused population Measiire H has helped us significantly to make this happen, but that years. So, it is essential that we replace it and build upon the success (114,000 housed) and increase it so we can do even more, especially considering that more seniors like me are falling into homelessness. The way rents have increased from 61% since 2017, from just over $1,600 per month on average to just over $2,700, seniors on fixed incomes just can't make ends meet. I so appreciate that Measure A has added homeless prevention and accountability to this measure, wise and needed.

Please assure that this consent item, this Vz cent sales tax will be unanimous and encourage all you know to also support it. Thank you!!
