FISCAL IMPACT:

In August 2024, the City Clerk's Office reported that a Supplemental Voter Information Pamphlet would be prepared and mailed to City of Pasadena voters to ensure that Pasadena voters would be able to focus on, and be aware of, each of the six City ballot measures. The cost for printing the guide was approximately $170,000 plus postage.

The final cost of the Pasadena General Municipal Election will be tabulated upon receipt of all invoices, including the cost for printing and distributing the Supplemental Voter Information Pamphlet and the election administration invoice to be prepared by the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk. Based on estimates provided by the County, as well as known costs incurred by City staff in support of the City's election, it is believed that sufficient funds exist in the City Clerk's 2024-25 Election budget to cover all election-related expenses. If final costs exceed budgeted funds available, City staff will return with a request for additional funding to cover any excess costs.
