POWER AIR BLOWER REGULATION
(Pursuant to Declaration of Local Emergency - Windstorms and Fires dated January 8, 2025)
In an effort to limit the adverse health impacts of fire ash, smoke, and particulate matter caused by the widespread fires and extraordinary windstorm conditions in Pasadena that began on January 7, 2025, the use of power air blowers and air propelling devices, such as leaf blowers, is prohibited until the Director of Disaster Emergency Services ("Director") determines that fire recovery conditions have progressed to a point where use of power air blowers and air propelling devices will not imperil lives or negatively impact the health, safety, and well-being of the lives of residents. This Regulation will remain in effect until repealed by the Director, in writing.
